Just minutes from the Minnesota Vikings’ new practice facility, this full backyard transformation in Eagan, MN, was designed with both structure and family functionality in mind. What began as an outdated, uneven yard with a failing timber wall and worn pavers became a sleek and usable outdoor living space tailored to the needs of an active young family.
We removed the old timber tie retaining wall and existing patio, replacing them with a fully engineered County Materials Tribute Split-Face wall system for durability and modern curb appeal. We then installed a large, clean-lined patio using Discover Pavers in Majestic & the Elements 4×8 Border in Reflection, bordered by symmetrical paver steps finished with bullnose coping to create a seamless flow from the home into the yard.
To support play and lifestyle, we retrofitted the existing irrigation system with an added zone to accommodate the new layout and plantings. We also poured a custom concrete sport pad, providing the perfect space for a basketball hoop and an all-around play zone for the kids. This project combines elegant hardscape design with practical upgrades—a true multipurpose backyard that balances form, function, and family fun.
