At LNG-Hartigan, our dedication goes beyond designing and building beautiful outdoor environments — we’re committed to making sure they last. That’s why we proudly offer a warranty program, designed to protect your investment and provide lasting peace of mind.
We work with purpose to help you enjoy outdoor spaces that are ideal for relaxing, entertaining, and making lasting memories. While we use only the highest quality materials and industry-best practices, we know that nature and life can be unpredictable. That’s why we back our work with a structured, responsive warranty process.
What Our Warranty Covers
Requesting Warranty Service Is Simple:
- Submit a warranty request through our online form, including as much detail as possible.
- Our team reviews requests during dedicated service periods throughout the year.
- If approved, we’ll schedule the repair or replacement work promptly and professionally.
We evaluate all warranty requests carefully and categorize them into one of the following three tiers:
- Full Coverage
The issue is fully covered under our standard warranty terms and will be repaired at no cost to you. - At-Cost Service
The issue is partially covered. We’ll complete the repair at our internal cost, with no added labor or profit margin. - Not Covered
The issue falls outside our warranty terms. Repairs can still be completed, but at full retail pricing.
Seasonal Warranty Request Schedule
We proudly offer two dedicated warranty service periods each year to ensure timely evaluations and repairs:
Spring Warranty Service
- Request Deadline: May 15th
- Evaluations: May 16th – May 31st
- Repairs Completed: June 1st – June 30th
Fall Warranty Service
- Request Deadline: August 31st
- Evaluations: September 1st – September 15th
- Repairs Completed: September 16th – October 15th
Warranty Limitations
- Damage resulting from natural causes or force majeure events.
- Issues arising from unseen or concealed site conditions not caused by our services.
- Work performed beyond the agreed-upon service boundaries if not properly marked by the customer.
- Use of products or performance of services in conformance with manufacturer guidelines or industry standards.
- Customer’s failure to fulfill their obligations under the agreement.

Plants:
- Non-hardy Zone 5 (or more) are warranted only for the current growing season.
Roses: Hybrid Tea, Floribunda, Miniature, English, and Romantica are warranted through the first frost of the current growing season. Not warranted over winter. - Damage or loss to plants resulting from any cause other than an inherent problem with the plant or improper installation by LNG-Hartigan, including, but not limited to:
- Lack or failure of proper maintenance
- Contact with animals, chemicals, or anyone other than LNG-Hartigan
- Excess watering or lack of water, including, but not limited to, lack of water as the result of mandatory watering restrictions
- Relocation of a plant by anyone other than LNG-Hartigan
- Adverse weather conditions including, freezing, flooding, high winds, or drought
- Theft
- Insects, mold, fungus or any other environmental condition initially occurring after planting
Exclusions (unless agreed upon in writing):
- Electrical work
- Iron railing removal/reinstallation
- Irrigation repairs
- Drainage solutions without a prior survey
- Dust cleanup on buildings, windows, or vehicles
- Lawn repair unless specifically detailed in the estimate
- Subsurface obstacles that create additional labor or costs.
Material Variances:
- Wood: Cracking and warping expected.
- Stone: Color variation, mineral deposits are natural.
- Concrete: Hairline cracks normal; color variations between pours are expected.
- Metal: Uncoated metal may rust.
Client Responsibilities:
- Proper maintenance is required according to LNG-Hartigan’s Aftercare Instruction PDFs listed on our Aftercare Instructions page or provided upon completion of work.
Warranty Service Request
Warranty Limitations
The homeowner must follow the LNG-Hartigan Aftercare Instructions, which are listed on our Aftercare Instructions page or provided upon completion of the work, in order to receive LNG-Hartigan’s warranty coverage.
- Trees, Shrubs, & Perennials: 1 year (proper care required, plant material warranties do not apply if plants are installed out of the optimal season at the Client’s request)
- Hardscape (retaining walls, patios, kitchens):
• Walls: 3 years
• Pavers: 2 years
• Stone patios: 2 years - Irrigation Systems: 3 years (LNG-Hartigan must perform winterization & startup)
- Lighting Systems: 1 year (manufacturer terms may extend)
- Water Features: 1 year (proper winterization required)
- Sod/Seeding: No warranty (maintenance by owner)
Warranty Coverage Details
Landscaping Services
- In accordance with the terms and conditions of our agreement.
- Using personnel with the required skill, experience, and qualifications. In a timely, workmanlike, and professional manner.
- In compliance with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations, adhering to the highest professional and industry standards.
Plant Material
- Annuals, perennials, sod, and seed are not covered under this warranty due to their seasonal nature and sensitivity to environmental conditions.
Hardscaping & Construction
- This warranty excludes damage caused by natural disasters, misuse, or lack of proper maintenance.
Irrigation Systems
- Components are subject to manufacturer warranties, which may vary.
